Michael Dourson is an American toxicologist and was nominated to be the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention in the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Trump administration. He has worked as a consultant for companies in the chemical, tobacco, and pesticide industries and has been criticized for downplaying the risks of certain chemicals. He has a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Cincinnati and has authored over 400 publications on toxicology and risk assessment.
